Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply to astrotrainer.app, the AstroTrainer mobile app, beta programs, waitlist, support channels, and related services. By using AstroTrainer, you agree to these Terms.

1. Independent Educational Training Product

AstroTrainer is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or an official product of ESA, NASA, CSA, JAXA, DLR, Roscosmos, CNSA, ISRO, any national space agency, any astronaut corps, or any government agency. All brand, drill, and training labels are AstroTrainer educational labels unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. No Selection, Employment, Medical, Or Official-Test Guarantee

AstroTrainer provides educational preparation, practice drills, study tools, interview practice, and progress estimates. Use of AstroTrainer does not guarantee astronaut selection, employment, admissions, certification, medical fitness, official cognitive-test performance, official interview performance, or any improvement in an official selection process. AstroTrainer is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, clinical cognitive assessment, psychological assessment, or substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, career, or admissions advice.

3. Accounts And Security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information, use the service lawfully, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend, restrict, or delete accounts that create security, abuse, legal, payment, platform, or operational risk.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse AstroTrainer, including by:

• Scraping, harvesting, copying, bulk downloading, or redistributing AstroTrainer data, prompts, drills, study cards, designs, or content.
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, bypassing access controls, circumventing paywalls, or probing backend systems except where legally permitted.
• Submitting malicious code, scripts, commands, malware, oversized payloads, malformed data, or automated traffic.
• Accessing another user's account or data without permission.
• Interfering with rate limits, security controls, app-store systems, payment systems, or backend services.
• Using AstroTrainer for unlawful, deceptive, infringing, abusive, harassing, or harmful activity.
• Commercially reselling, sublicensing, repackaging, or redistributing AstroTrainer content or functionality without written permission.

5. Subscriptions, Purchases, Cancellations, And Refunds

Some features may be free, beta, paid, or premium-only. If AstroTrainer offers weekly, monthly, or yearly Premium subscriptions, the subscription will auto-renew until canceled through the store account or payment platform where you purchased it. Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, or another payment provider may handle billing, renewals, cancellation, refund eligibility, family sharing, taxes, store notices, and payment disputes. Any free trial, introductory offer, renewal price, and billing period applies only if shown to you by the store/paywall before purchase. You are responsible for reviewing the offer terms and managing or canceling subscriptions through the applicable store account. Refund requests are subject to the applicable store or payment-provider refund rules, including Apple and Google policies when purchased through their stores. Features, pricing, availability, trial terms, and beta access may change as the product evolves.

6. User Content And Practice Data

You keep ownership of text, responses, profile information, and other content you submit. You grant AstroTrainer a limited license to host, process, display, analyze, and use that content as needed to provide the service, personalize training, maintain account sync, improve reliability, enforce safety controls, comply with law, and respond to support or privacy requests.

7. Intellectual Property

AstroTrainer branding, software, designs, drills, prompts, copy, training architecture, visual assets, and other content are owned by AstroTrainer or its licensors unless otherwise noted. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, use for model training, create derivative services from, or commercially exploit AstroTrainer content except as permitted by law or written permission.

8. Privacy And Account Deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect personal information, including rights for users in Europe and California. If you created an account, you can request account deletion in the app where available or through our Data Deletion page.

9. Availability, Beta Changes, And Training Recommendations

AstroTrainer may be unavailable, changed, discontinued, or updated at any time. We may modify drills, scoring, recommendations, study content, interview materials, premium features, or beta access to improve the product, maintain security, comply with law, or satisfy app-store requirements. Training recommendations are educational guidance based on available app data, not professional evaluation or official selection advice.

10. Disclaimers And Limitation Of Liability

AstroTrainer is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, official test alignment, and official selection relevance. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AstroTrainer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for selection, employment, admissions, certification, medical, app-store, or billing outcomes.

11. Governing Law

Unless mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If AstroTrainer later operates through a Delaware or other legal entity, this section may be updated before paid launch or public commercialization. Mandatory rights in your country, state, or region may still apply regardless of the governing law stated here.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms as AstroTrainer evolves. Material updates will be reflected by changing the effective date and, when appropriate, providing additional notice in the app or on the website.
